Review : Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm

PRODUCT INFO FROM REVLON:
* Double ended lipstain & lipbalm in one convenient package
* Marker applicator provides precise application

* Translucent stick lipbalm provides instant moisture & soft shine
* Beautiful wash of "just bitten" lipcolor

* Lightweight feel

APPLICATION TIPS FROM REVLON:

* Apply marker directly on clean, dry lips

* Build color & coverage as desired

* After 30 seconds, add extra shine and moisture by applying lipbalm.

RETAIL PRICE: Php 595.00

WEIGHT: Lipstain 2.5g ; Lipbalm 1.4g

SHADES : Available in 10 shades.

PROS:
* easy to apply
* colors (that I have) are pigmented
* smells "fruity"
* stays on for more than 6 hours
* lightweight feel
* color did not bleed or smudge even after eating/drinking
* can be used as base for other lipsticks
* lipbalm is really moisturising and non-sticky

CONS:
* I noticed the FLAME shade emphasizes my chapped lips compared to the other shades
* a bit drying (see tip below)
* difficult to remove

TIPS:
* Exfoliate & moisturise lips first prior to application. Apply a sheer coat of your favorite lipbalm (my HG is Carmex), let it absorb first.
* Apply lipstain in sheer layers then slowly build coverage.

* Apply provided lipbalm to seal color. If desired apply clear gloss to avoid your lips from drying.

ADDICTION FACTOR:
I rarely use lipstains coz it emphasizes my dry lips, but this is perfect for special occassions when I don't need to worry about my lipcolor smudging/fading.

RATING : 3 / 5

Dual ended applicator.
Both lipstain & balm contains Vit. C for protecting the lips.

Swatches

On the lips
Passion is my favorite shade among the 3. It looks baby pink on my (hand) swatch but turned reddish-pink when applied on my lips =P

Flame is a very pretty red. I prefer to wear this shade during nighttime coz this is really pigmented! Sorry the pic doesn't do justice... the photo got washed out because of the flash.

The shade reminds me of grapes... and it smells like one too!

What's your favorite lipstain?

Till next time,

I think these would work better too or the color would be more true if the lips aren't already pigmented.

AWW! I like the "crave" lippie! I've seen this in the pharmacies nearby. I guess it's nice to wear every now and then but not as the first choice.

Nice review!
