My Spend vs. Save list on makeup and skincare

Being beautiful doesn't mean spending tons of money on expensive skincare and makeup. Don't get me wrong; if you have the moolah, I'd say go for branded makeups. But for those who just started with makeup, I suggest playing around with inexpensive makeups first. That way, you know what colors and textures suits your skincolor and skintype. So in this post, I'll share with you how to save money on some skincare and makeup items.

FACIAL MIST  
Skip moisturiser if your skin is really oily, use a refreshing facial mist instead to hydrate and prep your skin before applying skincare and makeup.

MOISTURISER
If your skin is oily, choose a gel or water based moisturiser to avoid the greasy feel.

After the moisturiser is absorbed, use a bit of primer concentrating only on the oily areas to avoid the heavy feeling. Primer acts as a barrier between your skin and your makeup.

This will make your makeup last longer and prevents your makeup from caking especially when you sweat.

If your lids aren't that oily you can get away without using an eye primer, but I recommend using a matte light beige shade first to even out the color of your eyelids.

TIP: Warm pinks and coral shades suit almost all skintones. If you are looking for a red lipstick, remember this simple rule. Fair skintones look good with blue based reds while morenas look good with warm reds.
 
CLEANSING OIL
These oil based cleansers quickly removes makeup including waterproof mascara. Just massage it directly onto face then add water to emulsify. Follow with your favorite facial wash.
