Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite MAC brushes.
If I have to pick just one brush for travel, this is gonna be it - the MAC 128s Split Fibre cheek brush.

Why split fibre you ask?
Because this brush has two sides.
The darker colored (DC) hair is for powder products and the lighter colored hair (LC) is for cream/liquid products.

HOW TO USE:
Primer and liquid foundation - use the lighter color (LC) to apply primer and liquid foundation, and set the face with powder using the darker color (DC).
Concealer - use the LC side to apply liquid or cream concealer, then use powder to set using the DC side.
Blush - apply cream brush using the LC side. If you’re using a powder blush, use the DC side.
Contour - using powder or cream contour, use the tip to draw a line from your cheekbones down near the mouth, then blend using the LC or DC side depending on the product you are using.
Highlighter - same as the contour, you can use both sides depending on the product you are using. Lightly tap the brush, and apply the product on the tip of the nose, cupid’s bow and the top of your cheekbones.
OVERALL:
So basically this brush does it all from primer, foundation, highlighter, concealer, blush and contour. Amazing right?! You can just bring one face brush when you travel.
I know this is really expensive for one makeup brush, but just think of the different ways that you can use it. MAC brushes are an investment, they last for decades with proper care. I will recommend this to everyone who is looking for a multi-purpose brush, or a makeup newbie who wants to invest in good quality makeup brushes.
TIP:
For quick cleaning, I love using the MAC Brush cleanser (Php 1,100 for 235 ml).
Just transfer the contents into an atomizer bottle, spray a little bit on a paper towel and wipe your dirty brush. Tadaa.. clean brush in an instant without a sticky residue like other brush cleaners that I have tried.
I own a couple of white brushes, and instantly they look “new” again after cleaning. Just air dry the brushes for 30 minutes before using.
